Question 1

Is the $1,000 deposit a charge or a hold?

Accepted Answer

A hold. It is a temporary authorization on your payment method, not a charge. The money stays in your account and the hold is released after the vehicle is returned and inspected.

Question 2

When is the deposit released?

Accepted Answer

We release it immediately after return and inspection on our end. Your bank or card issuer then clears the hold, which usually takes a few business days.

Question 3

What would reduce my deposit refund?

Accepted Answer

New damage beyond normal wear, smoking or heavy cleaning fees, missing items, unpaid tolls, fuel shortfalls, and excess mileage charges. Everything is documented with photos at delivery and return.

Question 4

Do I pay the deposit on every rental?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each rental agreement carries its own $1,000 refundable deposit, even for repeat customers.

Question 5

Can I use a debit card for the deposit?

Accepted Answer

We accept all major payment methods. If you use a debit card, confirm with your bank that a $1,000 authorization hold will not disrupt your available balance during the rental.
